SWATA Meeting - Corpus Christi, Texas
Our meeting has been shortened to a one-day workshop this summer and will be held on Saturday, July 19. More information on meeting highlights will be coming so check back with the SWATA newsletter in the months to come.

The deadline for ATSA Executive Board nominations is June 30, 2008. Nominations will NOT be taken at the meeting. Voting will take place on Saturday, July 19th during the ATSA business meeting. The nomination form, directions, and officer qualifications/duties can be found on the new SWATA website under the "Student" section.

Quiz Rocket
Are you looking for a way to assess your knowledge and even assist in your studying? Try Quiz Rocket! Visit the new SWATA website and look for the “Student” section and you will find the link for Quiz Rocket. New quizzes have been added to the site, so try it out.

Competency Workshop
We are excited to announce that the SWATA Executive Board has recently approved the addition of a competency-based two-day workshop for students preparing for credentialing exams. The first annual Competency Workshop will be help Friday and Saturday, January 30-31, 2009 in Fort Worth, Texas. Please check back with the SWATA website and SWATA Newsletter for more information.

Results from the Athletic Training Student Association Advisory Council (ATSA-AC) survey regarding reinstituting a competency-based examination workshop were 100% for the reinstitution. Also, the majority voted in favor for a mid-winter meeting to be held in a large metropolis that would occur over a two-day period.
